La Semaine internationale de solidarité avec la guerre populaire en Inde s'est clôturée hier (le samedi 21 janvier) au Canada par une manifestation devant l’ambassade indienne à Ottawa (voir photos ci-jointes). / The International Week of Solidarity With the People’s War in India ended yesterday (Jan 21) in Canada by a demonstration in front of the Indian embassy (see attached pictures).
Les manifestantes et manifestants – dont certains ont voyagé plus de 450 kilomètres – se sont d’abord rassemblés dans un parc, avant de se diriger vers l’ambassade. Un discours de solidarité y a été prononcé en français et en anglais. / The demonstrators —some of them having traveled more than 450 kilometers to attend the event— gathered in a park and then walked through the embassy. A speech was gave in both French and English.
Au cours des dix derniers jours, des meetings de solidarité ont été organisés à Toronto, Montréal et Ottawa. Plus de 5 000 exemplaires du journal Partisan consacré à la révolution en Inde ont également été diffusés, principalement dans les quartiers ouvriers et immigrés de Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal et Québec, ainsi que d’autres villes à forte concentration prolétarienne, dont Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Sherbrooke et Halifax. / During the last 10 days, solidarity meetings have been held in Toronto, Montréal and Ottawa. More than 5,000 copies of the Partisan newspaper dedicated to the revolution in India were also circulated in proletarian and migrant neighborhoods in Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal and Québec City, and in smaller proletarian cities like Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Sherbrooke and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
